With the start of Ramadan just days away, anticipation is building for a new season of television dramas. One of the most closely watched titles this year is Hekayet Narges, a 15-episode series inspired by real events.
The drama follows Narges, a woman crushed by social judgment who descends into deception and crime in an attempt to construct a fictional family that promises stability, only to confront a tragic and unforeseen end.
Starring Riham Abdel Ghafour, Hamza El Eily, Ahmed Azmy, and Samah Anwar, the series is directed by Sameh Alaa and written by Ammar Sabry. Script doctor Mohamed Ismail Amin played a key role in refining the narrative, ensuring dramatic coherence while remaining faithful to the story&rsquo;s real-life roots.
Speaking exclusively to NileFM, Amin discussed the challenges of adapting true events for television and explained how his role as script doctor helped balance authenticity with compelling storytelling.

1. From your perspective, why is &ldquo;Hekayet Narges&rdquo; more than just a series to watch during Ramadan, but a story that could stay with viewers even after the season ends? Because the series is inspired by a true story. It&rsquo;s a real tragedy that caused a stir as soon as it came out, and even though we didn&rsquo;t create it exactly as it happened, we adapted it dramatically. I think stories based on real events carry a certain weight, and audiences tend to appreciate them alongside the drama.

2. We&rsquo;re used to seeing successful projects from you. What&rsquo;s different or surprising about &ldquo;Hekayet Narges&rdquo; that the audience might not expect? I worked on the series as a script doctor for the original writer. I focused on developing the dialogue, refining the characters, and rewriting certain episodes to ensure everything was polished.
3. Since the work is inspired by real events, what was the challenge in balancing truth and drama so the story would be engaging without losing credibility? It was a big challenge. Do we stick completely to the truth, or do we take inspiration from reality and adjust the story, In the end, it was better to adapt it, because the real events had issues that wouldn&rsquo;t have suited a 15-episode series.

4. The series deals with important social issues. What are the main topics, and how did you manage to present them in a simple, relatable way? Some of the key themes include the meaning of motherhood, society&rsquo;s view of divorced women, and the stigma around women facing fertility issues. We tried to make these issues understandable and close to the audience&rsquo;s experiences.
5. As a Script Doctor, how does your role contribute to developing the script and collaborating with the writing team to bring out the best in the project? I look at the series as a whole, identify what works and what needs to be removed or adjusted, and start working on it. Sometimes I ask the original writer to make changes, but in this series, I chose to handle it myself.
6. The series clearly relies on realistic and simple locations. Was this a deliberate choice to enhance the sense of authenticity for viewers? Yes, the locations had to be realistic because we can&rsquo;t claim the story is real if everything else, the settings, the details, is unrealistic. That would affect the overall impact of the series.

7. Which actor or element in the series surprised you the most with their performance or contribution? Did you expect that impact from the start? All the actors surprised me; they impressed me with their work. I was thrilled to see that they understood the series and could bring the characters to life so well.

Nothing is clear yet; I can&rsquo;t say what&rsquo;s coming next.

The Farouk Hosny Museum officially opened in Cairo&rsquo;s Zamalek district in January 2026, marking a major moment for Egypt&rsquo;s contemporary art scene. Dedicated to the work of abstract painter and former Minister of Culture Farouk Hosny, the museum also aims to support emerging artists through exhibitions, awards and cultural programmes.
The opening coincided with the Youth Group Exhibition and the 7th Farouk Hosny Foundation Art Awards ceremony, during which veteran actor Yehia El-Fakharany received the Merit Award in recognition of his lifelong contribution to Egyptian and Arab culture.
The event included classical music, a documentary screening, and prize distribution. The exhibition runs until February 19, 2026.
The museum is more than a gallery; it is a cultural hub, displaying Hosny&rsquo;s works alongside Egyptian and international masters such as Antoni T&agrave;pies, Georges de Chirico, Mahmoud Mokhtar, Mahmoud Said, Adam Henein, and Seif Wanly. It also features a specialized library, music library, and media room, offering visitors a complete cultural experience.

From the outset, the goal was to create a real, professional space to showcase young artists&rsquo; work, placing it in a serious artistic context with institutional evaluation. It was designed to move away from traditional exhibitions and serve as a natural extension of the foundation&rsquo;s philosophy in supporting contemporary creativity.

What surprised you most about the level or ideas of the participants? What stood out was the artistic awareness and intellectual boldness of many participants, especially in how they tackled contemporary issues using unconventional media and methods. The geographic diversity was also surprising and positive, demonstrating that the art movement is not confined to the capital.
In your opinion, what role do art exhibitions play today in supporting the fine arts scene in Egypt? Exhibitions have become essential platforms for discovering new trends and creating direct interaction between artists and the audience. Their role is no longer merely presentational but also documentary and critical, especially when accompanied by discussions and workshops that open spaces for understanding and reflection.
The museum houses works covering different stages of Farouk Hosny&rsquo;s journey, how does the visitor experience this journey? Visitors experience a simultaneous visual and temporal journey. The works are arranged to allow tracing Hosny&rsquo;s aesthetic and intellectual transformations from his early works to his most mature and experimental phases, providing a comprehensive reading of a long and multifaceted artistic path.
The museum is more than just a display of paintings; how important was it for it to be a full cultural experience? It was very important. The concept of the museum is that art is inseparable from knowledge, sound, and visual experience. The presence of a specialized library, music library, and media room transforms the visit from mere viewing into a full cultural experience that engages both the mind and the senses.
What is the main message you want visitors to take away? That art is a sustainable human value and that the creative experience is an ongoing journey of reflection and renewal, not just a final product. Additionally, culture should be a space for dialogue, not a closed authority.
What does opening a museum for an artist of Farouk Hosny&rsquo;s stature add to the cultural scene? It provides a rare model of a living museum for a contemporary artist. It helps preserve artistic memory, creates a visual and educational reference for new generations, and enhances the status of fine arts within Egypt&rsquo;s broader cultural landscape.
What was the biggest challenge in attracting young people? The main challenge was breaking the psychological barrier between youth and cultural institutions. We focused on making the approach open, opportunities real, and standards clear and impartial, without complications or exclusion.

By bringing together young artists, established figures in the arts, judging panels, and workshops, the exhibition opens direct discussions about artistic experience and vision. It turns the display into a space for communication and knowledge exchange, not just passive viewing.

This Thursday at 10:00 pm, NileFM&rsquo;s DJ of the Week welcomes Joe Noise, the Egyptian DJ and curator known for his emotionally driven blend of melodic techno and progressive trance. His sound is designed to move people, not just physically, but emotionally. Joe Noise&rsquo;s passion for DJing was sparked by watching how people react to music and fully lose themselves in it. That moment made him realize that sharing emotion and creating impact through sound was his true purpose. NileFM goes behind the decks with Joe Noise for a one-hour set that promises to linger long after it ends, a cinematic experience where listeners feel part of the story and the heroes of it. 1. For listeners discovering you for the first time, who is Joe Noise? And how did your journey behind the decks begin? Joe Noise is an Egyptian DJ and curator focused on melodic techno, progressive trance, and emotionally driven electronic music. My journey started from pure passion. I was always deeply connected to music, not just listening to it but analyzing it, understanding its structure and emotion. That curiosity pushed me behind the decks. What began as a personal exploration evolved into performing at venues like Kanji and launching projects like DeepWave and TranceMission, where the goal has always been to create a musical journey rather than just play tracks.

That was when I realized this isn&rsquo;t just something I enjoy; it&rsquo;s something I&rsquo;m meant to do. From that point forward, I treated it seriously, investing in my craft, building my identity, and shaping my own platforms. 3. Your sound is often described as emotionally rich. How do you channel feeling into a live set and build that connection with a crowd? For me, emotion often starts with vocals. I&rsquo;m very selective about the vocal tracks I play, whether it&rsquo;s trance or melodic techno with subtle, haunting phrases. The voice carries vulnerability, and that creates an instant human connection. I build my sets like emotional waves. I start with atmosphere, then introduce vocals at the right moment to create a memory. I think in chapters, tension and release, depth and light, carefully aligning melodies, harmonics, and breakdowns so the journey feels natural and progressive. It&rsquo;s not just about energy. It&rsquo;s about intention and storytelling. When the crowd closes their eyes, sings along, or feels goosebumps, that&rsquo;s when you know the connection is real. 4. You&rsquo;re closely associated with trance and melodic techno. What first drew you to these genres, and how do they reflect who you are as an artist? Trance was my foundation. Producers like Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, and Alexander Popov taught me what emotional build-up truly means. Their music isn&rsquo;t just energetic, it&rsquo;s spiritual, uplifting, and powerful. Trance gave me discipline in structure and melody. Melodic techno later gave me space. It expanded my sonic palette, deeper atmospheres, darker textures, longer transitions. It allows me to blend emotional vocals with hypnotic grooves and gives me a wider range to take the audience on different journeys within the same set. Now, my sound sits between those worlds, emotional trance energy with cinematic melodic techno depth. 5. Projects like DeepWave and TranceMission feel immersive, almost cinematic. How do you approach crafting a musical journey rather than simply selecting tracks? When I craft DeepWave or TranceMission, I approach them as storytelling experiences. I select tracks not based on popularity, but on key, mood, vocal presence, and emotional weight, making sure every transition feels natural, especially when blending trance with melodic techno. TranceMission leans more into trance and melodic techno, focusing on emotional build-ups, powerful vocals, and uplifting climaxes. DeepWave, on the other hand, is where I explore wider realms, blending deep trance, house, tech, afro influences, and deep melodic sounds, all connected through melodic tension and atmosphere. Both projects are structured like a film, intro, build-up, peak, reflection, and resolution, designed to give the audience not just energy, but a complete journey. 6. Every artist faces challenges along the way. What have been some of the toughest moments in your journey, and how have they shaped your sound or mindset? I started playing back in 2010 and stayed deeply committed to trance until around 2015. It was my foundation and the sound that shaped me as an artist. But at one point, I decided to step away. Still, I couldn&rsquo;t stay away from music for long; it&rsquo;s part of who I am. That time away actually gave me perspective. When I came back, it was with a different mindset. I began exploring wider musical realms, melodic techno, deeper progressive sounds, and different textures, blending them with the trance foundation I&rsquo;ve always loved. One of the toughest lessons was learning to evolve without losing authenticity. Instead of chasing trends, I chose growth. That journey shaped my identity and allowed me to return stronger, offering audiences a more refined and dynamic experience. <a href="https://ibb.co/fYdDsrpD"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/LzdN39tN/2-23.png" alt="2-23" border="0" /></a> 7. You&rsquo;ve recently been named NileFM&rsquo;s DJ of the Week, a significant milestone. What does that recognition mean to you at this point in your career? It&rsquo;s truly an honor. I&rsquo;ve been a huge fan of NileFM since the beginning. I&rsquo;ve always respected how the station gives artists a platform to shine. Seeing that growing up made me ambitious, so being chosen as DJ of the Week feels very meaningful. It validates years of consistency and dedication to my sound. At this stage in my career, it feels like momentum, a sign that what I&rsquo;m building through DeepWave, TranceMission, and my curated events is resonating beyond the club scene. It motivates me to keep evolving and raising the standard even further. 8. When you&rsquo;re preparing a set, how much is planned in advance, and how much is shaped by the energy in the room? How do you balance structure with spontaneity? When preparing DeepWave and TranceMission, track selection is both the hardest and the most exciting part. Choosing the right vocals, melodies, and energy levels to shape a journey requires precision and instinct. The right vocal at the right moment can define the entire experience, and that challenge keeps me constantly inspired to build new sets. I create a structured backbone, focusing on key transitions, emotional flow, and energy mapping, but I never lock myself into a rigid playlist. That preparation strengthens my live performances, giving me confidence and direction. 9. For aspiring DJs listening right now, what advice would you give on breaking into the scene and developing a distinctive sound? Focus on identity before popularity. Her roles are rarely alike. Even in brief appearances, Egyptian actress Sarah Khalil has won over audiences, leaving many asking what comes next.
Khalil began her acting career in 2022 with Hekayat Group El Eaila. A year later, she drew attention in Safah El Giza with a short but memorable role, appearing without make-up and demonstrating strong on-screen presence. In Gawla Akhera (Final Round), she transformed again, this time with make-up and hair extensions. Her Ramadan drama debut came in 2025 with Zolem El Mastaba.

From portraying a cancer patient in Catalogue to her widely praised performance as Hanan in La Tord Wala Tostabdal, Khalil has focused on portraying ordinary Egyptian women with striking authenticity. For the latter role, she avoided make-up entirely and gained 10 kilograms to realistically depict a pregnant woman.
NileFM spoke to the actress about her career, her approach to roles, and what drives her choices.
Before people knew you as an actress, what is a small detail about your childhood or life that still explains part of who you are? I didn&rsquo;t realize acting was my dream until the moment I stepped onto the stage. I discovered that I wasn&rsquo;t shy. I felt completely free. I didn&rsquo;t fully understand what that feeling was at first, but then I realized that acting carries a powerful sense of freedom.
<a href="https://ibb.co/nsRKZ3x4"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/FbndNsRc/1.png" alt="1" border="0" /></a> Has a scene ever stayed with you after filming wrapped? No. I always make sure that once the scene is done, it is truly finished. I don&rsquo;t take the character home with me, and I don&rsquo;t let it affect my personal life. Appearing without makeup and physically transforming yourself early in your career was seen as a bold choice. How did you approach that decision? It wasn&rsquo;t a bold decision. It was the right one. In &ldquo;Final Round,&rdquo; the character required constant makeup and extensions, but this role was different. She was pregnant and mostly at home, so the look had to be natural. Even in &ldquo;Safah El Giza,&rdquo; I appeared without makeup because authenticity is essential. Things have to be done properly.

Director Mariam Abu Ouf, the writers Dina Nagem and Samar Abdelnasser, and the incredible cast including Ahmed El Saadany, Dina El Sherbiny, Fadwa Abed, and Hassan Malek. Hanan herself is beautiful in her simplicity. She exists in every Egyptian home. Speech therapy was presented as part of everyday life rather than an exceptional case. Did that change how you view storytelling around social issues? For families who live with these realities, this is their daily life. Presenting such issues naturally, without complications, helps them reach audiences faster. When problems are portrayed as part of ordinary life, people connect with them more easily. I truly hope more productions take this approach.

It is hard to pinpoint because some details emerge spontaneously during filming. For example, the wedding ring storyline, when it was taken to be sold, highlighted just how interconnected the family was. Everyone supports one another without hesitation. Many viewers felt Hanan&rsquo;s relationship with her siblings was incredibly real. How did you build that authenticity without exaggeration? This dynamic is part of Egyptian culture. There is a deep belief in family responsibility. When you have a brother like Taha, who does everything for his sisters, loving him comes naturally. That kind of relationship already exists in our society. Were you expecting such a strong reaction to the role? What was the most meaningful comment you received? I wasn&rsquo;t expecting it. As beautiful as the response was, it was also a little frightening, because when people see you succeed, they expect even more. It makes me more careful with my choices. One message that meant a lot came from the wonderful actress Reham Abdel Ghafour. She reached out with incredibly kind words. Having an artist of her stature take the time to find and message me was truly special. Most of your scenes were with Ahmed El Saadany, and the sibling bond felt very genuine. How did you avoid slipping into melodrama? The writing was excellent, which made it easier to deliver that sense of truth. Chemistry between actors is also very important, and thankfully, it was there. The relationship felt believable. The series tackled several important issues. Which one impacted you the most? It is difficult to choose just one. The health-related topics, such as kidney failure, speech, and hearing challenges, were especially important. They were presented smoothly and thoughtfully.

What makes you feel a role is right for you? I try not to label myself or chase roles that resemble me. On the contrary, I prefer moving away from anything too similar to who I am, because doing something different is always more challenging.
If you could change one thing about your journey so far, what would it be? I wouldn&rsquo;t change anything. If someone like Hanan saw herself in the series, what would you want her to take from it? I would want her to know that she is seen. Many women like Hanan feel invisible or believe their role in others&rsquo; lives is not significant. To me, Hanan represents the true meaning of home and belonging. Do you want the next phase of your career to build on what you&rsquo;ve done, or completely break away from it? Both. It should be an extension of what came before, but with characters that are not repetitions. Every actor wants diversity. Today I can play Hanan, tomorrow someone entirely different. Variety is essential and creatively very exciting.

For more than five decades, Ibrahim Al-Ariss has been one of the most influential voices in Arab film criticism. Born in Lebanon and closely connected to Egyptian cinema, the renowned critic, cultural history researcher, translator and journalist has translated more than 40 books and written some of the most significant studies on Arab and world cinema.
Al-Ariss studied film directing in Rome before moving to London to study screenwriting and film criticism. Among his most notable books are A Journey in Arab Cinema and Martin Scorsese: A Cinematic Biography. His deep attachment to Egyptian cinema also led him to write extensively about the legendary director &lsquo;Youssef Chahine: The Child&rsquo;s Gaze and the Rebel&rsquo;s Grip&rsquo;.
In 2017, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Gouna Film Festival. His other works include Gharam fi Istanbul and Sin Path. In 2019, the Arab Cinema Center honoured him with the &lsquo;Critical Achievement Award&rsquo; in recognition of his influential career in film criticism across the Arab world.
NileFM speaks to Ibrahim Al-Ariss about his journey in film criticism, his relationship with Egyptian cinema, his memories of Youssef Chahine, his favourite contemporary stars and behind-the-scenes stories from some of Arab cinema&rsquo;s most celebrated films.
Your journey in film criticism spans more than 50 years. Looking back, which phase most shaped you as a critic?
I believe my path was shaped by two major phases. The first was my time in Rome, where I studied film directing but devoted most of my energy to art-house and experimental cinema, particularly at the Farnese Cinema. There, I watched, almost daily, films of the French New Wave and Italian Neorealism.
The second phase was in London, where I studied criticism and screenwriting at the British Film Institute, especially through the Free University and the lectures of John Blize. We also held regular evening gatherings to watch films, often by a single director or screenwriter, and once focusing entirely on the actor Dirk Bogarde. These sessions would begin at 8:00pm and last until 6:00am, followed by long discussions. This period was my true formative stage, both as a critic and as a cinema practitioner.

Has Arab film criticism played a real role in supporting Arab cinema globally, or has it remained in directors&rsquo; shadows?
Over the past 25 years, Arab film criticism, particularly in Egypt, played a major role in supporting serious Arab cinema, especially filmmakers who understood how to engage with critics. Among them were Youssef Chahine, Mohamed Khan, Radwan El-Kashef, Daoud Abdel Sayed, Atef El-Tayeb, Borhane Alaoui&eacute;, and Tawfiq Saleh.
These filmmakers read criticism carefully and engaged with it seriously. Some major actors even sought our opinions, as criticism could directly influence careers. That is no longer the case today. Most critics of my generation have passed away, as have many of those directors. Today, critics have largely become festival employees, institutional consultants, or cinema traders. A close friend once told me a Gulf festival had appointed him its &ldquo;official critic.&rdquo;
You are also a researcher, translator, and writer. How has this diversity shaped your approach to film?
I place everything I know and practise at the heart of what I write. For me, there is no separation between criticism and creativity, nor between creativity and research. I often say that criticism is creativity built upon creativity.
A true critic does not aim to correct the artist or change the world, but to express themselves, perhaps creating a form of aesthetic contagion in the reader.

As we mark the centenary of Youssef Chahine, why do his films still feel alive to each generation?
That is the essence of true creativity: to be born of its time yet remain alive forever. At its core is the relationship between the self and the audience across generations.
That is why I titled one of my books The Language of the Self and the Eternal Modern. We still read Plato and One Thousand and One Nights, watch Chaplin, John Ford and Hitchcock, and listen to Bach, Fairuz and Mozart, just as generations before us did, and as future generations will continue to do.
I often smile ironically when people speak of supposed conflicts surrounding Umm Kulthum, Salah Abu Seif or Abdel Halim Hafez or even Ella Fitzgerald.
You once described Chahine as the pioneer of autobiographical cinema in the Arab world. What does that mean?
Cinema is both an industrial and commercial art, which long imposed a rule: that personal films required large budgets. Chahine was among the first to break that rule.
He did so most clearly in his autobiographical Alexandria quartet: Alexandria&hellip; Why? (1979), An Egyptian Story (1982), Alexandria Again and Forever (1989) and Alexandria&ndash;New York (2004). In truth, he practised this approach, sometimes implicitly, across much of his work.
His success, both artistically and commercially, encouraged many Arab filmmakers to follow. Without Chahine&rsquo;s courage in exposing his personal history on screen, we might not have seen the later autobiographical films of Yousry Nasrallah, Khaled El-Hagar, Mohammad Malas, Nouri Bouzid or F&eacute;rid Boughedir.

While writing The Child&rsquo;s Gaze and the Rebel&rsquo;s Grip, did you discover anything new about Chahine?
If I were to rewrite the book today, I would add many things; not because it is lacking, but because time reshapes reception.
I read The Brothers Karamazov at 15, again at 30, and many times since. Each reading revealed something new, and my sympathies shifted between characters. This is what reception theory is about.
Which Chahine film holds the most personal meaning for you?
On a human level, "Bayya&lsquo; El-Khawatem" (The Ring Seller) is the most important, as it marked my first meeting with Chahine and my work as his assistant on set between 1964 and 1965.
The film I love most is "Cairo Station," which I consider one of the most important films in Arab cinema history. Abdel Hai Adeeb, its screenwriter, later became my mentor. Working with him prepared me to study screenwriting at the BFI.

What has Arab cinema lost since the passing of figures such as Chahine and Salah Abu Seif?
Their films remain present and continue to reach audiences worldwide. Each of these directors created cinematic schools and languages that later generations continue to develop.
What we lost, I lost, were friends and exceptional interlocutors.
Is there a memory of Chahine that best reflects his humanity?
There is one memory I will never forget, or rather, two.
The first was when Egypt&rsquo;s Ministry of Culture wanted to honor him in the final years of his life. The distinguished minister Farouk Hosny and the late critic and official Ali Abu Shadi met with Chahine and told him that the ministry intended to publish a book about him. They presented him with a list of around ten Egyptian critics and asked him to choose one.
He looked at the list and said to the minister: &ldquo;They are all my friends and beloved colleagues, and all are great critics, but I want Ibrahim Al-Ariss to write the book.&rdquo;
Ali Abu Shadi immediately left the minister&rsquo;s office to call me in Paris and ask if I agreed. Of course, I did. Despite the fact that Abu Shadi&rsquo;s own name was on the list, he fully supported the decision. Although Chahine later declined the honor and the project was frozen at his request, after his passing, publisher Ibrahim El-Moallem of Dar El Shorouk contacted me to publish the book. That is how The Child&rsquo;s Gaze and the Rebel&rsquo;s Grip was born.
The second moment took place during the night shooting of a scene from &ldquo;Al-Massir&rdquo; (Destiny) at Galal Studio, at a time when I was in a deep disagreement with Chahine. I met actress Laila Elwi, who was extremely happy working with him and invited me to attend the shoot. I told her about my disagreement with Chahine and that my presence might bother him. She convinced me otherwise.
During a break, Laila and I were talking when someone suddenly stood between us, leaning on our shoulders and handing me a sandwich. It was Youssef Chahine himself. Laila laughed and said, &ldquo;I thought you were fighting.&rdquo; He replied jokingly, &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve been fighting and reconciling for thirty years, and both of us explode like bombs.&rdquo;
Throughout your career, which Egyptian actors or actresses did you feel closest to, on a human or artistic level, and why?
First and foremost is my lifelong friend Mahmoud Hemeida, for whom I once wished to write a screenplay about Al-Mutanabbi, though circumstances prevented it.
There is also Laila Elwi, whose creativity, humility, culture, and intellectual curiosity restored my faith in great artists and reminded me that they possess emotional and human particularities that compel us to understand them, even their impulses.
Among other dear friends in cinema are Lebleba, the great cinema lover, Yousra, Yousra El Lozy, Nour El-Sherif, with whom I shared deep cultural ties, as well as Khaled El-Nabawy, the late Mohammad Bakri of Palestine, Nada Abou Farhat from Lebanon, and more recently Boshra and the remarkable Moroccan actress Nisrin Erradi, who restored the presence of the true movie star in Morocco despite her young age, something that had somewhat faded since the unjustified disappearance of the wonderful Mouna Fettou.

My current projects revolve around distancing myself more and more from what is today, somewhat humorously, called film criticism, and focusing instead on my other interests, such as philosophy, political thought, literary criticism, and encyclopedic projects.
Recently, two of my books were published in Saudi Arabia: &ldquo;Cinema and the Desert &ldquo;and &ldquo;Cinema and Its Sisters.&rdquo; I also released The Encyclopedia of the Global Novel in two volumes. In the coming weeks, in Cairo will publish a complete enlightenment library by me, beginning with books on Garc&iacute;a M&aacute;rquez, Naguib Mahfouz, Ibn Khaldun, Bergman, Plato, Picasso, Dostoevsky, and Shakespeare, among others.

Ramadan 2026 | NileFM Unveils Ramadan Show Schedule

From the very first moment, Bad Bunny made it clear that the 60th Super Bowl halftime show was about identity, pride, and roots. Opening the performance with traditional j&iacute;baro pava hats and sugar motifs, the Puerto Rican superstar immediately grounded the show in his culture. For 14 minutes, viewers were taken on a vibrant journey through Puerto Rico, one that did not require understanding Spanish to feel the emotion behind the lyrics. It was a powerful reminder that Bad Bunny is not only proud of where he comes from but also committed to reflecting that pride in everything he creates. Because the atmosphere scatters blue light and lets red light pass through, the moon takes on a dramatic reddish glow; the same effect that makes sunrises and sunsets look red. Dust or clouds can make the color appear even deeper.
Where to Watch
The eclipse will be visible across Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and parts of South America. Viewers in North America, however, will only catch partial phases of the event.

In a rare astronomical phenomenon, Earth is completing its rotation today, Tuesday, 22nd July, in less than 24 hours&mdash;making it the shortest day ever recorded in human history. The planet will spin 1.34 milliseconds faster than the standard 86,400 seconds, surpassing the previous record set just two weeks ago on 9th July.
Although the difference is imperceptible to most, scientists say it reflects a puzzling trend in Earth&rsquo;s rotational behaviour. If this acceleration continues, global timekeepers may need to subtract a second from atomic clocks by 2029&mdash;a historic adjustment known as a &ldquo;negative leap second&rdquo; that has never been implemented before.&nbsp;
Experts remain uncertain about the root cause of the acceleration. Theories range from shifts in the Earth's molten core and melting glaciers to atmospheric changes and a weakening magnetic field. For centuries, the Earth has been gradually slowing due to the moon&rsquo;s tidal pull. But new data from NASA suggest we may have reached a phase of orbital equilibrium, unexpectedly speeding up the planet&rsquo;s rotation.
Geologists and astrophysicists are closely monitoring the development, as it could affect everything from satellite navigation to global timekeeping systems in the near future.
