Director Gil Junger is officially reviving his beloved teen classic &mdash; but with a twist. The next installment of the 10 Things I Hate About You legacy is coming and it&rsquo;s titled &ldquo;10 Things I Hate About Dating.&rdquo;

Co-written by Naya Elle James, the new film marks the beginning of an adult-focused trilogy that will also include &ldquo;10 Things I Hate About Marriage&rdquo; and &ldquo;10 Things I Hate About Kids.&rdquo; Yes, you read that right &mdash; the series is growing up, just like its original fan base.

Unlike the high school angst of the 1999 hit, this sequel draws its inspiration not from Shakespeare, but from Moli&egrave;re&rsquo;s 1666 play The Misanthrope, tackling the complexities, chaos and contradictions of adult relationships. (For the record, the original 10 Things I Hate About You was based on Shakespeare&rsquo;s &ldquo;The Taming of the Shrew&rdquo;.)

But here&rsquo;s the real surprise: Junger is planning to include original cast members, including the iconic Julia Stiles, scene-stealing dad Larry Miller and a tribute to the late Heath Ledger, whose unforgettable role as Patrick Verona helped define a generation of teen romance.

Of course, fans are divided. Some call it a cash grab, others say it&rsquo;s a heartfelt tribute that honors the legacy of the original. Either way, it&rsquo;s happening &mdash; and expectations are sky high.
&nbsp;
So the real question is: will this grown-up reboot give us a scene more iconic than the poem? Or are we looking at a nostalgic misfire?
