Spotify debuts its annual 2025 Wrapped campaign and personalized user experience&mdash;a bigger and bolder Wrapped experience that is more captivating, more layered, and more revealing than ever before. This year&rsquo;s data reflects an exciting moment for Egyptian music, where genres crossed paths and listeners embraced a wider sonic palette than ever.
From pop and hip-hop to mahraganat and shaabi, and all the blends that emerged between them, 2025 truly offered something for every listener. It was a year where genres met and generations mixed, with newcomers and long-loved voices all shaping the sound of Egypt in their own way.
Icons and new voices define Egypt&rsquo;s year in music
This year, Amr Diab tops Egypt&rsquo;s Wrapped as the country&rsquo;s Top Artist for 2025. With a career spanning generations and his summer album Ebtadena resonating across the country, his presence remains a defining pillar of Egypt&rsquo;s musical landscape. Amr Diab continues to connect listeners of all ages, reminding us how enduring a true cultural icon can be.
Joining the Top Artist list are Tamer Ashour, long regarded as Egypt&rsquo;s voice of heartbreak, and household favorites Ramy Sabry and Bahaa Sultan, whose place in the Top 10 reflects the continued love for Egypt&rsquo;s most familiar and comforting voices. Alongside them, Marwan Pablo, Lege-Cy, Wegz, and TUL8TE stand out as leading names in today&rsquo;s scene, artists whose success and distinct styles continue to add fresh dimensions to Egypt&rsquo;s sound. Mahraganat power players Essam Sasa and Eslam Kabonga also appear in this year&rsquo;s shortlist, underscoring the genre&rsquo;s strong presence across 2025 listening.
Breakout hits and cross-genre songs led the year
Eslam Kabonga leads Egypt&rsquo;s 2025 Wrapped, with "انا مش ديلار يا حكومة" named the Top Song of the Year. After debuting on Wrapped last year, Kabonga became a consistent presence throughout 2025, and this marks his first time topping Wrapped, a milestone that reflects his growing place in Egypt&rsquo;s musical landscape.
He is followed by Mustafa El Gen and Hady El Soghayar (تيم الابداع) with "بعبع دايرتي" and "كاتم الانفاس (محطوط تشكيل)". Tommyy&rsquo;s &ldquo;Emshy&rdquo; with Rally emerges as one of the year&rsquo;s most viral moments, powered by Tommyy&rsquo;s genre-fluid vocal delivery and unmistakable performance style. Essam Sasa also features prominently with "محكمة ودخلنا على المفرمة - افترى وعوجلي شعره لورا"&nbsp; reinforcing his strong connection with listeners throughout the year.
Egyptian pop maintained its emotional core through Tamer Ashour&rsquo;s &ldquo;Makrehtosh&rdquo; and "هيجيلي موجوع" both of which resonated deeply with listeners. Bahaa Sultan contributed another standout moment with &ldquo; ﺻﺣﺑﻲ يا ﺻﺣﺑﻲ&rdquo; highlighting the enduring appeal of Egypt&rsquo;s beloved voices. Adding a much-welcome texture to the mix is Lege-Cy&rsquo;s &ldquo;LAW NASYANY,&rdquo; created in collaboration with Ismail Nosrat. The track delivered a chill pop drop that found its place among the year&rsquo;s top songs.
The list closes with Rahma Mohsen&rsquo;s "حفلة تنكرية" marking her as one of the freshest names of 2025.
A celebration of Egypt&rsquo;s homegrown albums
Tamer Ashour leads with Yaah as the Top Album in Egypt for 2025, followed by Amr Diab&rsquo;s Ebtadena. Rising star Mond takes third place with Origins: قبل انتفاضة bringing an experimental edge to this year&rsquo;s list. In fourth is Roma by Cairokee, while TUL8TE&rsquo;s Narein rounds out the Top 5 with its chill, nostalgic production. A Personalized User Experience
