Egypt is expected to experience a noticeable drop in temperatures on Monday, 2 March 2026, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
Weather conditions will be cool during the daytime across most parts of the country, turning very cold at night. Authorities have also warned of possible frost formation on crops in central Sinai.
Light to moderate rainfall is forecast in parts of the northern coast and the northern Nile Delta, with occasional heavy showers in some areas at intervals. There is also a 30% chance of light to moderate rain in parts of the southern Nile Delta, the Suez Canal cities, the Gulf of Suez, Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.
Wind activity is expected across most regions, increasing the ощущение of cold weather. In southern Upper Egypt, winds may stir up sand and dust at intervals.
Maritime navigation is likely to be disrupted along parts of the Red Sea coast and in the Gulf of Suez and Aqaba. Wind speeds are expected to range between 40 and 60 km/h, with wave heights reaching 2 to 3 meters.
