President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with a delegation from a number of committees of the United States Congress, headed by Senator Joni Ernst, and from the Egyptian side, Dr. Badr Abdel&nbsp;Aaty, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs abroad attended.
President El-Sisi discussed in the meeting the seriousness of the escalation and tension in the region caused by the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, stressing Egypt's intention to continue its efforts - in coordination with partners - to put an end to this war, he also warned from Israel's current escalation in the West Bank, stressing the need for concerted efforts by the international community to halt this escalation in the Palestinian territories.

The discussion also addressed the situation in Sudan. El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's continued intensive efforts to reach ceasefire and restore security and stability, preserve the capabilities of the Sudanese people, and support all paths leading to a political solution that would end the crisis in Sudan.&nbsp;
